Functional
At Jacobs Chiropractic we  address functional issues of the spine by focusing on the alignment and movement of the vertebrae, which play a crucial role in overall musculoskeletal and nervous system health. Misalignments, known as subluxations, can interfere with normal joint function and irritate surrounding nerves, potentially leading to pain, stiffness, reduced mobility, faster rates of degenerative disc disease,  and other systemic effects. Through manual adjustments, we  restore proper spinal alignment, improve joint mobility, and reduce nerve interference. This can enhance the body’s ability to function optimally, alleviate discomfort, and support better posture and movement patterns, often contributing to improved quality of life and less pain primarily with neck pain, lower back pain, and headaches.
Structural
Biophysics (the technique of Chiropractic care we utilize at Jacobs Chiropractic),  has the potential to influence the structure of the spine over time, particularly through consistent and targeted applied traction forces. When spinal misalignments or postural distortions persist, they can lead to abnormal loading patterns and structural imbalances. We use the technique called Biophysics to aggressively realign the spine, encouraging it to return to a more natural and balanced position. With regular treatment, combined with corrective exercises and postural guidance, these directed traction applications  help remodel the spine’s alignment and curvature, especially in cases like forward head posture, scoliosis, or hyperkyphosis. This technique will  support healthier spinal architecture, improved biomechanics, and better overall stability and function.
Regenerative Therapy
Prolotherapy and Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy are regenerative treatments that will complement the functional and structural care you receive at Jacobs chiropractic, particularly in addressing chronic pain and joint instability. Prolotherapy involves injecting a natural irritant solution, often dextrose-based, into ligaments or tendons to stimulate the body’s healing response and strengthen connective tissues. PRP therapy, on the other hand, uses a concentration of the patient’s own platelets to promote tissue repair and reduce inflammation. When combined with chiropractic adjustments, these therapies can enhance joint stability and accelerate recovery by targeting both the structural and soft tissue components of musculoskeletal dysfunction. We use the regenerative therapies when ligament laxity, tendon injuries, or degenerative joint conditions limit the effectiveness of manual adjustments alone, offering a more comprehensive, integrative approach to restoring function and relieving pain.

Dr. Jacobs is very knowledgeable and is helping me regain the curvature in my neck that has caused pain for years. The sessions are not just adjustments, but include stretching, injury specific machines, and a massage machine. My husband and several of our friends also see Dr. Jacobs.
