Low Testosterone Frequently Asked Questions

Who should use TRT for Low T?

If you think you might have low levels of testosterone, the best and safest way to find out if you are a good candidate for treatment is to speak with your doctor. After discussing your concerns, your blood will be tested for hormone imbalance. By analyzing your hormone levels, your doctor can determine if you are below the normal amount of testosterone (below 350ng/dL). Men who experience hair loss, low muscle and bone mass, trouble concentrating, low libido and a generally low sense of well-being should contact a Jacobs Chiropractic and Wellness Center professional to ask about testing for hormone imbalance.

How Does TRT Work in helping Low Testosterone?

After determining that you could benefit from testosterone replacement therapy and evaluating your specific needs, your doctor will formulate an individualized plan to restore you back to full health. Treatment can take many different forms, depending on your preferences and what is most convenient for you. Most patients treated for Low T see signs of improvement 8-12 weeks after treatment has begun. Once you have reached optimal levels of testosterone, your doctor will work to maintain this healthy balance so you can continue enjoying your renewed energy. If you would like to discuss TRT with one of Jacobs Chiropractic’s helpful team members, give us a call at (865) 566-0325 or email us at info@phwknox.com.

How Much Does TRT Cost?

If your insurance covers the visit, you’ll only be responsible for an applicable co-pay. If you would prefer, or are required to pay out of pocket, the rate is $100 to be evaluated by the Nurse Practitioner and visit cost includes lab work. This initial consultation checks for indications that testosterone replacement is needed. Should results indicate this is the case, a regular weekly injection at our office is priced at $50 ($200 per month). Please contact us to set up an appointment or for questions regarding your insurance coverage.
